Teams and roles
Work on workflows together. Four roles on a ladder, workspaces for a whole team, and a history of every change.
A workflow can be worked on by more than one person. Add people to a single workflow, or put workflows in a workspace so everyone in it can reach them.
Workspaces
A workspace holds workflows for a team or a company. Its members reach every workflow in it with their workspace role, without being added to each one. Workspaces are under Workspaces in the dashboard.
Roles
Roles are a ladder: each one can do everything the one below it can, and more.
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Viewer | open a workflow and read it: the canvas, its runs and their logs |
| Editor | change the canvas, press Run, and manage its schedules, webhooks and files |
| Admin | manage members and limits, and read the workflow's secrets, such as its webhook signing secret |
| Owner | everything, including the workflow itself |
| Viewer | Editor | Admin | Owner | |

When someone has two roles
A person can reach a workflow in two ways: named on the workflow itself, and through the workspace that holds it. When the two differ, the stronger role wins, so a workspace admin is never held back by an older viewer role on one workflow.
History
Every change to a workflow is written into an append-only history: who did it, when, and to which step. Settings are recorded by name and by fingerprint rather than by value, so reading the history never means reading somebody's API key.
Sharing connections
Connected accounts belong to the person who connected them, and can be shared with the people you work with. A shared connection can be used by a step; its credentials are never revealed. See Connecting accounts.
Invitations
Invite people by email from the workflow or the workspace. They accept from the link in the mail, and land on the workflow with the role you gave them. How many members a workflow can have depends on your plan.
